ABOUT ABOUT

Join us for a completely unique night of entertainment on the McNary stage as we present seven brand new world premiers written by students from McNary's playwriting classes and directed by McNary Advanced Theatre students.  We present:

  • Howard vs. Love written by Abrianna Feinauer, directed by Cameron Engle. Human friends of a zombie set him up on dates and he...well...he's a zombie.  This play pokes fun at the dating app Tinder.
  • Break Free by Raina Hickman, directed by Gloria White. A couple meets and falls in love but miscommunication and abuse clouds their journey and makes them question who they want to be with.
  • The Little Things by Alex deMeurers, directed by Krystin Morrell. A man and a woman go on multiple dates at a fancy restaurant and begin to go through a rough patch over chocolate milk...and each other.
  • Aimee's Adventure by Morgan Hoag, directed by Dorothy Woolford. A child’s imagination runs rampant as she goes on quest to find her kidnapped mother with the help of her stuffed animals.
  • Quester's Delight by David Henderson, directed by Osvaldo Torres. Communication becomes difficult when identity is hidden between real life and the video game world.
  • Through Blind Eyes by Krystin Morrell, directed by Alex deMeurers. A very busy and unfocused business woman meets a blind man in a train station and he shows her how to slow down and see things more clearly.
  • Ethan and Anna Travel Through the Universe by Jaida Watson, directed by Elise LeDuc. A wonderful childhood friendship is challenged by hardship and battles in space.

These seven original works will be sure to engage and amaze you featuring some of McNary's next and upcoming talent.
