McNary's fourth production of The Many Faces of Love season will be the 1971 Pulitzer Prize winning play, The Effects of Gamma Rays on Man-In-The-Moon Marigolds by Paul Zindel.
This classic play is a look at the dark side of love: when love distorts and contorts our relationships with others. It is a grilling look at a dysfunctional family and they way they all cope with each other. Life has been hard for the Hunsdorfer family: a dead father, an alcoholic, chain-smoking mother, a failed business, embarassing family reputations, and in the middle is Tille - the youngest - learning about herself through the new wonder of a love for science. This story is beautiful in its lessons and devistating in their truth, there will truly be something for each audience member to identify with in this show.
