ABOUT ABOUT

Join us for the third main stage show of our 2016-2017 season, Beth Henley's Pulitzer Prize winning dark comedy, Crimes of the Heart.

The Magrath sisters have had a rough lot. Lenny, Meg, and Babe are forced to reunite at their family home in Hazelhurst Mississippi following Babe's short stint in jail for shooting her how-powered attorney husband in the stomach (she was aiming for his head). As they gather, previous hurts are exposed, love is tested, challenges are faced, all bringing past hurt to the front of their already tumultuous lives. This play is all about how characters can escape the past to seize the future.

Featuring a small cast and a small set, we will be staging this in the Magrath kitchen  with the audience on the stage and austensibly in the kitchen with the sisters. Only about 100 seats will be sold for each performance so you will want to get your tickets early! Tickets are only $5. Performances will be March 15, 16, 17, and 18 at 7pm with a matinee on Saturday March 18 at 1:30pm.

Starring:
Annie Purkey as Lenny Magrath
Skyla Cawthon as Meg Magrath
